Most Intriguing Trader Joe's Stores

Each Trader Joe’s store is an exact reflection of its neighborhood. Each Trader Joe's store is unique in its own way, from the physical structure to the layout of the products and displays inside and the Crew.

There are some that are just a little more special, a bit more particular, and very unique in their own especially way. Below is a list that highlights just a few of America's most interesting stores.

Greetings! 72nd & Broadway, NYC

Our 72nd & Broadway store, located in Manhattan's Upper West Side is just two blocks from Central Park. The store is two stories high (or three if you count its entrance), and has four elevators and four escalators. It also boasts twice as many checkstands as the typical TJ's.

Although it may seem daunting, our Manhattan customers and Crew see it as just another neighborhood store.

Cheers! from Woodland Hills, CA

Woodland Hills may seem like an unassuming Trader Joe's out in California's San Fernando Valley, but it's got a great, big (but not-terribly-well-kept) secret: the largest wine section of any TJ's on the West Coast!

A cooler that is reserved for sparkling and beer is surrounded by towering displays of California Cabs, Spanish Verdejo and other California wines. Woodland Hills is home to a variety of Trader Joe's wines, including some rare wines that you won't find anywhere else.

Howdy Neighbor! Your Friends in South Pasadena, CA

The Charles Shaw wine display at Trader Joe's in South Pasadena, CA

Around half the size shops, yet with the same selection of goods, South Pasadena is one of our longest-running Trader Joe's, and the most ideal notion of a neighborhood store. Indeed, many of the customers from South Pas were still shopping in the store even in the days of the predecessor to our store, Pronto Market, 50 years ago!

The smaller footprint helps to create a tight-knit feeling of the community when customers and Crew become acquainted with each other well. In-between-aisle dancing parties are not unusual.
